USA attack (once again) alleged drug trafficking vessel in the Pacific

SIC Notícias4 September 2026 at 08:41

The US authorities attacked another alleged drug trafficking vessel in the Pacific. According to the USA, the vessel operated as a refueling station for one of the largest criminal organizations in Ecuador.

The operation is part of a broader effort against drug trafficking in Latin America and the Eastern Pacific. In less than a year, the United States has already attacked approximately 70 vessels under this operation.

The attack aims to disrupt the drug trafficking routes that pass through the Pacific, a region frequently used by criminal organizations to transport illicit substances.
