The Ministry of Justice confirmed that the destruction of chemical products seized in Operation Pacoba had a cost of approximately 144 thousand euros. This value represented an amount for which the Judicial Police did not have budget allocation.
The lack of funds on the part of the Judicial Police was so significant that assuming the cost of destroying the chemicals would compromise the current activity of the institution.
Given this situation, the seized chemical products ended up being handed over to a contractor. This contractor was a friend of Luís Neves, a figure involved in the case that motivated Operation Pacoba.
