The ZERO association launched a platform that allows citizens to track night flights in Lisbon. The tool was developed to monitor aircraft movements during the night, a period when stricter restrictions apply.
According to the association, in mid-August, 187 night movements were recorded, a value that significantly exceeds the 91 flights allowed by law. The organization also states that this number exceeds the established limit by 96 movements.
The platform uses data collected by the Flightradar24.com website, a service known for providing real-time information on air traffic worldwide.
ZERO warns about non-compliance with the legal limit for night flights, considering that the situation represents a violation of the standards established to protect residents from disturbances caused by noise during the night.
