Among them were a glucose sensor for diabetes monitoring, a benefit card recharge for a tax inspector, and a "souvenir" left in an office.
For the Attorney General's Office, these episodes indicate that the relationship between public agents and private operators went beyond the large payments linked to tax credits. The São Paulo State Attorney General's Office carried out on Thursday (3) an operation against a criminal organization suspected of charging bribes to interfere in tax proceedings.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the former number 3 of the São Paulo Treasury and a lawyer. An audio recording captured a former executive of the department giving an "ethics advice" on how to charge numerous times without being reported. The information is part of the inquiry that supported the MPSP's action against the scheme.
