Actress Fernanda Rodrigues, known for telenovelas like "A viagem" (1994) and "O outro lado do paraíso" (2017), is one of the owners of Fazenda Nosso Vilarejo, located in the district of Paty do Alferes, in the interior of Rio de Janeiro. Alongside her husband, Raoni Carneiro, she transformed an old coffee plantation into a mountain retreat that also became a new family business.
The farm, with nearly 200 hectares, has undergone a major transformation in recent years. What was an abandoned place has been recovered and today features coffee plantations, environmental preservation, and leisure options for the family.
About 40 hectares are dedicated to coffee cultivation, developed using agroecological practices and without the use of pesticides. The recovery of the area included planting more than 120,000 trees and other actions aimed at environmental preservation.
