The United States may not support the United Kingdom regarding the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), as suggested by President Donald Trump.

The American administration currently recognizes British administration of the islands, but maintains a position of neutrality regarding competing sovereignty claims over the territory.

Trump indicated that the United States may not take a position alongside the United Kingdom in the dispute over the Falklands, which represents a potential shift in traditional American posture.

The Falkland Islands issue is a long-standing theme in international relations, with Argentina claiming sovereignty over the archipelago, currently administered by the United Kingdom.

Cultural Alliance between Alentejo and Extremadura Takes Shape Through the University of Évora
