The environmental association Zero launched today a platform to monitor nighttime flights at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon. The platform allows citizens to monitor nighttime aircraft movements at the airport.
According to Zero association, Lisbon continues without having the right to silence, 536 days after the Government promised nights without flights. This government promise has not yet been fulfilled, with nighttime flights continuing in the Portuguese capital.
The Zero Association initiative comes as a transparency and oversight tool, allowing the population to follow and report flights carried out during the nighttime period at the Lisbon airport.
