Lisbon waiting for silence: only two weeks of 2026 met the night flight limit

Lisbon faces a persistent problem with night flights at Humberto Delgado Airport. According to data from the environmental association Zero, only two weeks of 2026 met the established limits for night flights in the Portuguese capital.

Zero announced the launch of a monitoring platform for night flights at Humberto Delgado Airport, which will be available from this Friday. This tool aims to provide transparency to data on compliance with air traffic restrictions during the night.

The month of August proved particularly critical, with one week recording 187 night flights, a number that exceeds by more than double the permitted limit. This situation highlights the difficulty in enforcing the existing regulations at the country's main airport.

Cultural Alliance between Alentejo and Extremadura Takes Shape Through the University of Évora
