A Ukrainian medical emergency vehicle completely disabled by bullets was displayed for a day in front of the Russian embassy in Lisbon. The ambulance showed multiple bullet impacts, visibly illustrating the effects of war on Ukrainian territory.
The action was organized with the aim of alerting the Portuguese public to the reality experienced on the ground in Ukraine, showing in a concrete and dramatic way the risks faced by the civilian population and healthcare professionals during attacks.
The exhibition was not only informative. The event also served as a fundraising campaign, specifically directed towards the acquisition and sending of medical vehicles to Ukraine, seeking to support the urgent needs of the Ukrainian health system.
