Benicàssim will renovate 3.2 kilometers of pipes to prevent dumping into the sea

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General4 September 2026 at 05:30

Benicàssim will proceed with the renovation of a fundamental part of its sanitation network located near the coast. The City Council awarded the drafting of the project to replace the current route of two asbestos cement wastewater pipes, linked to the Doctor Jorge Comín and Farja pumping stations. The pipes cover approximately 3.2 kilometers and present an advanced degree of aging, which justifies the need for this intervention. The main objective of this work is to prevent wastewater dumping into the sea. This initiative comes as part of the municipality's efforts to modernize its infrastructure and protect the coastal environment of the region.
