Dodi Lukebakio continues to attract interest outside Europe. Glorioso 1904 exclusively reported that the Belgian international has clubs from Saudi Arabia attentive to his situation at Benfica, even after the closure of the transfer window for the major European leagues. Middle Eastern clubs keep the 27-year-old winger scouted and may still try to pursue the player, at a time when the Saudi market remains open.
The possibility of a departure from Luz is therefore not completely ruled out, despite Benfica deciding to keep Lukebakio in the squad. The Belgian international came very close to leaving the eagles in the last days of the European market. Sunderland even presented an offer in the order of 20 million euros for the player, while Besiktas also showed interest in signing him.
Nevertheless, the red structure chose not to proceed with the departure. Benfica's decision-makers understood that Lukebakio represents an important value for the squad and decided to keep him, even in the face of concrete offers that arrived. The winger thus continues under Bruno Lage's command, with the season underway.
