Benfica learns its Champions League opponents this Friday

Record4 September 2026 at 03:19

Benfica will learn this Friday the opponents in the women's Champions League in football. The draw for the group stage of the competition is scheduled for this week and will define the opponents of the reds in the main European club competition.

The team led by Ivan Baptista is placed in pot 2 of the draw, which means they were positioned as seeded teams in the second tier of seeds, depending on the sporting ranking and distribution criteria.

This draw determines the group stage of the women's Champions League, a competition that brings together the main European women's football clubs. The position in pot 2 indicates that Benfica is a team with European prestige but that was not among the seeded teams in the first pot.

The reds will thus soon learn the group where they will compete to try to advance to the next stages of the most important club football competition in Europe.
