The Municipality of Loures will distribute 20 thousand bracelets to detect drugs in drinks, in a prevention campaign aimed at entertainment contexts and large events. The initiative will be presented on Friday, September 4.
The devices acquired for this campaign allow testing drinks with or without alcohol, identifying the presence of GHB, a substance frequently associated with cases of doping in night entertainment environments.
The municipality of Loures decided to proceed with this prevention measure after identifying the need to protect citizens, especially the younger ones, in high-risk contexts.
The campaign is part of a broader security and prevention strategy that the Municipality of Loures has been developing to address the challenges posed by the consumption of illicit substances in festive environments.
