Plug-in hybrid cars emit up to five times more CO2 in real driving conditions than calculated by the European Union, according to a study. This discrepancy means that the vehicles are significantly more polluting than the officially declared values. The study analyses the real emissions of these cars comparing them with the calculations used in European regulations.
