International distinction attributed by URSI to the director of DETI

Nuno Borges de Carvalho, director of the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics at the University of Aveiro, received the John Howard Dellinger Gold Medal during the General Assembly and Scientific Symposium of the Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale, held in Krakow, Poland.

This distinction represents the first recognition of this type awarded to a Portuguese person, marking a historic moment for the Portuguese scientific community.

The John Howard Dellinger Gold Medal recognizes the work and contributions of the professor and researcher for the development of SWIPT, technology that enables simultaneous wireless information and power transfer.
