Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), sent on this Thursday to the Court President, Edson Fachin, intelligence reports from the Federal Police pointing out alleged irregularities committed by Minister André Mendonça in conducting investigations of Sem Desconto and Compliance Zero operations. In the decision, Moraes states there are 'strong evidence' of practice of administrative improbity, abuse of authority and crime of responsibility by the colleague.
According to Moraes, documents produced by the PF point out three main fronts of irregular action by Mendonça: the alleged usurpation of direction of investigations, with harm to chain of custody of evidence; unauthorized participation in plea collaboration negotiations; and direction of investigations against the own Moraes and against the Senate President, Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP), for reasons that reports attribute to personal and political motivations.
Moraes determined sending the decision and reports to the president of STF for taking the measures applicable regarding the alleged conduct of Minister Mendonça.
