The municipality of Sever do Vouga has an ongoing public tender for the requalification of the third floor of Vougapark, installed in the former Vouga Pasta Factory. The contract has a base price of 450,000 euros, plus VAT.
The completion of this requalification is considered "a strategic step to increase the capacity to host new projects, boost innovation and strengthen the impact of the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem."
VougaPark – Innovation Center was created in 2013 by municipal initiative, with the municipality being the owner of the building. The center aims to boost an innovation and business support ecosystem, promoting entrepreneurship through services such as a business incubator.
The 2026 activity plan aims to consolidate the business ecosystem, attract technology-based companies and create new platforms connecting companies, talent and investment. There are also plans for the creation of a business Media Lab and the promotion of specialized bootcamps and meetups.
