Fernando Alfaiate was responsible for the PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan) over the last five years, having assumed the role of coordinating this European funding program. The deadline for executing the plan ended on August 31, but there are still pending works that will continue until the end of the year.
The initial plan, which foresaw large works and ambitious investments, was considered "very optimistic" by the responsible authorities. This assessment reflects the difficulties encountered in completing all projects within the initially established timelines.
The financial issue remains a concern, since the money is not guaranteed for all the works that still need to be completed. This situation raises uncertainties about the ability to fully meet the plan's objectives within the remaining deadlines.
