The film "The Gilded Cage" was shown on Thursday night, September 3, in the outdoor space of the MAEE – Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia de Elvas António Tomás Pires. The session was part of the "Cinema in the Courtyard" cycle, a cultural program that uses the museum's outdoor space as a venue for film screenings.
The work was made in 2013 by Portuguese-French director Ruben Alves. The film starred Rita Blanco and Joaquim, whose full name appears cut off in the article, as protagonists in the main roles of the story.
The "Cinema in the Courtyard" initiative offers the audience the experience of watching films outdoors, taking advantage of the facilities of the archaeology and ethnography museum located in Elvas, a Portuguese city known for its historical heritage.
