During the closing ceremony, the passing of the baton took place for the next edition of the Mediterranean Games. The city of Pristina, in Kosovo, will be the next to host the event, in 2030.
This ceremony symbolizes the end of a Mediterranean sporting cycle and the beginning of the countdown to the Pristina 2030 Games, which, by then, will be the first Olympic Games ever held in Kosovo.
