A phenomenon known as El Niño is forming in the Pacific, which according to weather forecasts could be the most powerful ever recorded. The forecasts indicate almost 100% probability that this event will last until February next year.
Scientists expect the intensity of this El Niño to be so high that it may literally fall outside the scale normally used to measure these climate phenomena, surpassing all previous records.
