IPMA places 14 districts of Portugal under yellow warning until Saturday due to heat

The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) placed 14 districts of mainland Portugal under yellow warning due to intense heat. The warning will be in effect until Saturday.

The regions most affected by the heat will be the Tagus Valley, Beira Baixa and Alentejo, where temperatures may reach 40 degrees. This extreme heat phenomenon affects a significant part of Portuguese territory.
