New York's stock exchange closed Thursday's session in the green, with the Nasdaq leading among the main indices as it recorded a gain of 1.40% to 26,584.06 points. The Dow Jones Industrial followed with gains of 1.18% to 53,685.52 points, while the S&P 500 rose 1.06% to 7,747.59 points.
Optimism was driven by statements from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, who expressed confidence in the improvement of price pressure signals and indicated willingness to support maintaining interest rates.
In reaction to Waller's statements, sovereign debt yields retreated, which motivated the markets on Wall Street and also had a positive impact across the Atlantic, according to the daily analysis note from Millennium Investment Banking.
In the oil market, crude oil gained 0.73% to $91.67 and brent rose 0.07% to $95.89.
