"Classics" of the first half of the season already have date and time set

The Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) announced today the dates and times of the "classics" of the first half of the season in Liga 1. FC Porto, current champions and sole leaders of the competition, will be the venue for these two encounters against their main rivals.

The first derby is scheduled for September 20, in the seventh round, when FC Porto will host Benfica at their stadium. This confrontation promises to be one of the highlights of the initial phase of the Portuguese championship.

The second classic of the first half is set for November 29, in the 12th round. On this occasion, it will be Sporting's turn to visit FC Porto, thus completing the round of major encounters between the three big teams of Portuguese football in the first half of the season.
