Public Prosecutor and judicial administrator accuse managers of medicinal cannabis company of culpable insolvency

The Public Prosecutor and the judicial administrator accused the managers of the company Symtomax of culpable insolvency. The suspects are the British Paul Nathan Segal and the Dutch Olaf Van Tulder, both managers of the company that intended to establish itself in Beja.

Symtomax aimed to create in Beja the largest medicinal cannabis cultivation center in Portugal. However, the company never went into production and ended up going bankrupt.

The company left debts amounting to 8.5 million euros, a value that includes commitments to the Portuguese State. The accusation process now follows its legal course for the determination of responsibilities.
