New forensic analysis rules out suicide of officer Gisele in São Paulo

cbn3 September 2026 at 21:15

A supplementary report by the São Paulo Criminalistics Institute concluded that soldier Gisele Alves Santana did not commit suicide. This theory was presented by the defense of the police officer's husband, lieutenant colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto, who is a defendant for multiple counts of procedural fraud. The document to which CBN had access indicates that Gisele's death involved the intervention of a second person, and that the set of blood spatter patterns and other elements found at the scene contradict the suicide hypothesis.

To reconstruct the sequence of events, the forensic experts analyzed different configurations of the apartment: one based on the version presented by the defendant, another reported by the first responders who arrived at the scene, and a third reconstructed from photographs taken at the time.

These versions were compared with documented records and evidence. The work also used a three-dimensional survey of the location to compare the different versions with the physical evidence found.
