The Government is calling on the individual awareness of citizens to prevent fires. This message was conveyed by the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Rui Rocha, during a visit to the municipality of Boticas.
Rui Rocha's visit to Boticas followed a fire that consumed approximately 3,000 hectares of land in the region. The blaze caused significant damage to the affected area.
During his speech, Rui Rocha recalled that most fires are caused by human hands, thus underscoring the importance of each citizen taking responsibility for fire prevention.
This appeal comes at a time when authorities aim to raise public awareness about the dangers of fire and the need for more responsible behavior on the part of everyone.
