Gisele Case: Expert Report Rules Out Suicide and States PM's Death is Compatible with 'Second Person's Intervention'

A complementary report from the São Paulo Criminalistics Institute concluded that soldier Gisele Alves Santana, 32 years old, did not commit suicide. The forensics states that the suicide hypothesis was "falsified" due to material incompatibilities found at the crime scene, indicating that the police officer's death involved the intervention of a second person.

The document was prepared at the request of the court to answer questions presented by the technical assistant of the defense of Gisele's ex-husband, lieutenant colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto. It is a complementary report to the previous examinations already carried out in the case.

According to the Criminalistics Institute, all traces documented in the case files were analyzed, and the different existing versions about the dynamics of the soldier's death were compared. The forensics identified material elements that contradict the suicide thesis initially considered.
