Stellantis announced a recall of 7,300 vehicles in Brazil, covering the RAM 1500, Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, and Jeep Wrangler models. The defects identified by the manufacturer can cause physical damage to vehicle occupants.
Owners of 1,472 Jeep vehicles manufactured between 2021 and 2025 must visit dealerships for replacement of the electro-hydraulic steering pump. The brand stated that, in case of failure, the part can cause a fire hazard, resulting in potential material, physical, and even fatal damage to occupants and third parties.
Owners of the 5,810 RAM 1500 pickups manufactured between 2021 and 2026 will need to schedule the replacement of the rear seat belt fixings. Stellantis identified the possibility of seat belt locking error and, in extreme cases, the failure can cause lack of occupant restraint during sudden braking and accidents, increasing the occurrence of material, physical, or even fatal damage.
