oglobo3 September 2026 at 20:36

Rio Art Week takes place from September 16 to 27 and will have 90% of its attractions free of charge. On Thursday (3), during an event at the Museu do Amanhã, at Praça Mauá, the municipal secretary of culture, Lucas Padilha, announced that the number of attractions already exceeds 400, with 427 lines registered in a spreadsheet.

Festivals and Brazilian attractions with local, national, and even international projection are participating in the initiative. A virtual platform will be launched so the public can familiarize themselves with the spaces that will host the programming.

Historical and architectural heritage sites will be occupied by artists and their audiences. Tourist points in the Central Region will be transformed into settings for the performances.

In Lapa, a large stage will host attractions from the Amir Haddad Theater Festival, including Fafá de Belém, among other artists. The goal is for the public to circulate between the different festivals and not remain at just one event throughout the entire programming.
