The family of one of the victims of the Glória elevator derailment has filed a lawsuit against Carris, demanding a formal apology and compensation exceeding one million euros. The accident caused 16 deaths in total.

The proceedings were initiated by the husband and daughter of Ana Paula Lopes, who was an employee of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. The family is now awaiting the court decision regarding the demands presented.
