The Family Agriculture and Solidarity Economy Fair resumed operations at Ceasa, in Irajá, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, after seven years of interruption. The resumption took place on the 29th, at Pavilion 30, with the participation of producers from different municipalities. From now on, the fair will be held every Saturday, from 8am to 2pm.
The space is installed at the headquarters of the Union of Associations and Cooperative Users of Pavilion 30 (Unacoop) and has 13 stalls. Among the products sold are organic food, regional gastronomy items, ornamental plants and crafts.
The initiative aims to expand sales channels for family farmers and bring producers closer to consumers. The proposal also includes cultural activities during the fair editions.
