Azores Airlines registered a loss of 37.1 million euros in the first half of the year, representing a reduction of 3.9 million euros compared to the same period last year. This decrease in losses indicates an improvement in the airline's financial results.
In parallel, SATA Air Açores, another airline from the archipelago, also managed to reduce its financial losses. The company lowered its loss to 2.1 million euros in the same period under analysis.
The information about these results was made available to the news agency Agência Portuguesa de Notícias (Lusa), which had access to the financial data of the two Azorean airlines.
The negative results of both companies demonstrate that the aviation sector in the Azores continues to face economic challenges, although the numbers indicate a trend of gradual recovery compared to the same period last year.
