BPI reaches agreement with Angolan society for sale of stake in BFA

Banco BPI has reached an agreement to sell its 33.35% stake in Banco do Fomento Angola. The transaction will be carried out with Congolian Financial SA, an Angolan society belonging to the Carrinho group.

The total value of the operation is divided into two fixed tranches amounting to 388.5 million euros, plus a third variable tranche whose value is not specified in the article.

With this sale, BPI closes its position in the Angolan market, divesting its entire stake in BFA. The Carrinho group, through its subsidiary CFSA, thus reinforces its presence in the Angolan financial sector.
