Participant Stavros Floros, from the 13th season of the reality show "Survivor Greece," filed a US$100 million lawsuit (approximately R$510 million) against the show's producers after suffering a serious accident during filming that resulted in the amputation of his left leg. Court documents were obtained by TMZ.
The accident occurred while Stavros was spearfishing during filming. He was struck by the propeller of a tourist boat while in the ocean, losing his left limb in an incident that turned the televised experience into tragedy.
On social media, Stavros Floros posted images showing the outcome of the accident, with the participant amputated and using a wheelchair for mobility. The young man shared with his followers the difficult moment he faced after the accident.
In a dramatic account of the rescue he received, the participant stated that a tourniquet applied by a stranger on board a vessel was crucial for his survival after the accident that changed his life.
