'Metrobus' could connect Figueira da Foz and Coimbra

Mayor Santana Lopes revealed that the possibility of implementing a "metrobus" connection between Figueira da Foz and Coimbra is being considered.

According to the mayor, this 'metrobus' solution would represent only 20% of the investment required for the electrification of the railway line between the two cities.

In addition to the significant cost reduction, Santana Lopes highlighted that the execution of this alternative would be much faster than the electrification of the railway line.

The proposal emerges as a more accessible and faster alternative to improve mobility between the two cities.
