Minister Gilmar Mendes will advocate to the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, the removal of Federal Police delegates currently working in the offices of Court members. The proposal will be presented amid the internal crisis caused by the developments in the investigations into Banco Master and the escalation of tension between Minister André Mendonça and members of the PF leadership.
The two are expected to talk on Thursday about the crisis that settled in the court after the Federal Police identified Alexandre de Moraes as the interlocutor of former banker Daniel Vorcaro in messages seized during the investigations.
The senior minister had already been discussing the presence of delegates in the offices before the episode, but the controversy gained new weight given the questions about the work of police officers directly assisting Mendonça in investigations under his rapporteurship. The information was revealed by Folha de S. Paulo and confirmed by GLOBO.
