Brazil's Federal Revenue seized electronics without invoices in stores in the Center of Teresina and in a shopping mall in the city. The foreign products were confiscated for suspected smuggling, a crime that consists of the illegal import of goods without the payment of the required taxes. Among the items seized were cell phones, tablets, smartwatches (smart watches), and computers. The operation aimed to combat the irregular trade of imported products entering the country without adequate fiscal documentation.
