The locality of São Martinho, in the municipality of Seia, prepares to celebrate the 2026 edition of the traditional Festival of Santa Eufémia, which combines religious devotion with an extensive cultural and musical program. The festivities take place on September 6, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16.
The religious program begins on Sunday, September 6, at 5:00 PM, with the celebration of mass and the traditional pilgrimage to the cemetery in honor of the deceased brothers of the Brotherhood. The festive program kicks off the following weekend, with dances and musical animations featuring groups such as Caravela Musical, Grupo Kalyente, and Ricky Música e Animação, accompanied by performances by DJ Meireles and DJ Campos.
The central day of the celebrations is Sunday, September 13. The morning starts at 9:00 AM with the arrival and parade of the Musical Group Novo Milénio, followed by the Solemn Mass at 10:30 AM. In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM, the traditional Procession takes place and the auction of the fogaças at 4:30 PM, closing the evening with a dance and musical entertainment.
The celebrations continue on September 14 and 16, both with Solemn Mass at 10:00 AM, accompanied by traditional games, auction of the fogaças, and continuation of community festivities.
