The Attorney General, Amadeu Guerra, revealed that there are three ongoing cases related to controversial situations involving the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves. In addition to the three inquiries, there is also a case at the Court of Auditors and an investigation of an administrative nature regarding situations concerning the minister.
Two of these cases were considered "urgent" and continued to be investigated during the judicial holiday period. The PGR stated that, given the urgency assigned to these cases, they "continued during the holidays", meaning they were not suspended during this period.
The first urgent case is related to a trailer seized in an anti-drug operation carried out by the Judicial Police. The second urgent case concerns the investigation into the works carried out at the Alentejo estate of the former national director of the Judicial Police.
Amadeu Guerra did not commit to specific deadlines for the conclusion of the investigations, but expressed the desire that the cases end "as quickly as possible". The news is being updated.
