The President of the Municipal Chamber of Coruche, Nuno Azevedo (PS), confirmed this Wednesday at a council meeting the news published by Notícias do Sorraia on August 12. The confirmation came during the ordinary meeting of the municipality.
According to the initial news report, the municipal chamber had ignored a cheaper proposal for broadcasting council meetings. Instead of accepting that more economical proposal, the municipality chose to hire a company that submitted another proposal.
Notícias do Sorraia had previously reported that there was a cheaper alternative that was not considered by the chamber. Nuno Azevedo has now come forward to confirm the facts reported by the local newspaper.
