Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) maintained conversations with businessman Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, in which he asked for help with a business and expressed a desire to "have more closeness" with the banker. The audios were revealed by the ICL Notícias portal and confirmed by the newspaper O Globo.

In the message, sent on March 30, 2025, Nikolas addresses Vorcaro by the nickname "Dani", says he "totally trusts" him, and requests help to release a "mining asset" belonging to a lawyer friend. The parliamentarian justifies the request by saying that his lawyer mentioned Vorcaro's name and that he did not have the closeness he would like to have with the businessman.

It is not possible to confirm whether Vorcaro complied with Nikolas's request. The full content of the audio shows the parliamentarian asking for help briefly, saying "it's a quick deal" and asking not to take too much of the businessman's time.

Nikolas has not yet made an official statement about the case, but said he intends to publish a video on social media to talk about the situation.

Miguel Sousa Tavares: "Do most Portuguese want to topple the government because Luís Montenegro didn't declare the car that his father-in-law gave to his wife?"

Miguel Sousa Tavares comments on the motion of censure presented by Chega against the Government, related to the controversy around the car offered by the father-in-law to the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Montenegro. The commentator considers that the majority of Portuguese want to topple the government for reasons that have nothing to do with this specific issue, emphasizing that he continues to see no reasons for the minister's resignation given what has been made public, and accusing Ventura of being "obsessed" with this issue.

Hungary maintains automatic asylum for Ukrainians of military age contradicting the European Union

Hungary announced it will continue to offer automatic asylum to Ukrainian men of military age (25 to 60 years), contradicting a European Union decision from July. Prime Minister Péter Magyar justified the measure by the presence of ethnic Hungarians in the Transcarpathia region in Ukraine, who flee to Hungary. The EU had decided on Ukraine's defensive needs, but Budapest maintains its differentiated reception position.
