The Loures Municipal Council will begin distributing bracelets for the detection of the so-called "rape drug" in drinks. The devices were developed by Portuguese and Spanish scientists.
The distribution is scheduled to begin on Saturday, during the DJ Carl Cox concert, which will take place at Papa Francisco Park, in Loures. The municipality intends to make this prevention tool available to event participants.
The president of the Loures City Council, referred to as "Leão" in the article, highlighted that the initiative represents a form of prevention to protect citizens, especially the younger ones, who attend nighttime events and festivals. The goal is to give people a practical tool to check if their drinks have been tampered with.
