Thousands of Ukrainian children remain under Russian control, facing risky situations, the Bring Kids Back UA initiative warned. According to the organization, these children are subjected to indoctrination, militarization and loss of identity while they remain in territory controlled by Russia.
The European Union is preparing new sanctions against those responsible for the deportation of these children. The measures aim to hold accountable those responsible for these practices in the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
This case falls within the broader context of the war between the two countries, where the issue of deported Ukrainian children has been raising international concerns about violations of human rights and international law.
