The motion of no confidence presented by the Chega party to the Government will be discussed in Parliament on September 8, during the first legislative session of the current legislature. The decision was made by the conference of party leaders.

The spokesperson for this body announced that the Standing Committee will meet on September 7, Monday, to convene the plenary for the following day. This meeting is necessary because Parliament is outside the effective period of operation.

The chosen date was not part of the two proposals presented by the president of Parliament, José Aguiar-Branco. The dispatch sent on Thursday to the parties suggested that the parliamentary leaders decide between September 10 and 17 for the discussion of the motion.
