Fire in scrubland mobilizes more than 150 operatives and five aerial means

A fire broke out in the early afternoon of this Thursday, September 3, in a scrubland area in the locality of Picamilho, near the car wash area, in the parish of Juncal, municipality of Porto de Mós, in the district of Leiria.

The alert for the occurrence was given at 2:54 PM through the emergency number 112, having mobilized more than 150 operatives and five aerial means to the location of the fire.

The fire consumed vegetation in the rural area of that part of the municipality of Porto de Mós, with authorities being activated immediately after receiving the emergency call.
