Pope appeals for trust in God in Angelus prayer

Pope Leo XIV appealed for trust in God during the Angelus prayer in Freedom Square in Castel Gandolfo. Before hundreds of people gathered near the papal residence, on the outskirts of Rome, the Pope acknowledged that it is not always easy to understand and accept God's ways, especially when they are very far from ours.

The Pope warned that in these moments the temptation arises to think, against all the logic of faith, that it is the Lord who is wrong, or worse still, that God does not hear us or that He is not interested in us.

Leo XIV argued that overcoming these spiritual crises requires the believer to never interrupt, even in these moments, dialogue with the Lord, always with total trust.
