The United Kingdom announced a contribution of 400 million pounds to the Forever Tropical Forests Fund (TFFF), the main investment action launched by the Lula government at COP30. The contribution represents the country's return to the fund, after an absence that was considered one of the main frustrations for Brazilian negotiators last year.

The TFFF aims to raise international resources for the preservation of tropical forests, focusing on the Amazon and other Brazilian biomes. The fund was one of Brazil's main flags during the climate conference.

With the British contribution, the fund's accumulated total rose to 7.26 billion dollars. Brazil aims to reach the goal of 10 billion dollars by the end of the year, which would represent a significant milestone for climate cause financing.
