The Funchal Cathedral hosts a celebration in honor of Our Lady of Coromoto

The Funchal Cathedral will host, on Saturday September 12 at 6:00 PM, a Eucharistic celebration in honor of Our Lady of Coromoto, patron saint of Venezuela. The mass will be sung and presided by Canon Marcos Gonçalves, with liturgical animation by the Group Friends of São José.

The celebration aims to bring together both the Madeiran community and the vast Luso-Venezuelan community residing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, strengthening the bonds between the two cultures.

The event marks the devotion to the Virgin of Coromoto, whose festivity is experienced with special care and faith by all devotees of the Venezuelan patron saint.
