TRE-PI requests free public transportation from the city of Teresina on election day

The Regional Electoral Court of Piauí (TRE-PI) sent a request to the City of Teresina asking for free municipal public transportation on election day. The objective is to facilitate voters' access to polling places, promoting greater public participation in the electoral process.

The same request will be forwarded to the State Government of Piauí. In this case, the request aims to guarantee free inter-municipal transportation, allowing voters from neighboring municipalities to travel to Teresina to vote.

The measure seeks to reduce economic barriers that may prevent citizens from exercising their right to vote. By offering free transportation, TRE-PI hopes to increase turnout at the polls on election day.
